A bit about me!
My interest in hypnosis and hypnotherapy
is in some ways a natural progression, having been in caring
professions all my working life.
For more years than I care to remember I
have worked in dentistry as a nurse, receptionist and latterly
practice manager. In an attempt to help nervous patients,
I began using Bach Flower Remedies about 20 years ago, in
particular Rescue Remedy, which fitted the bill admirably.
After taking a two-year training course,
I qualified as a Healer with Yorkshire Healers Association.
I have worked with the association for some years and am presently
on its committee. Together with a colleague from the Y.H.A.,
I have helped pioneer a unique form of distance healing over
the telephone. People from far and wide contact us for healing
for themselves and their pets.
On a voluntary basis I give time to two of
our great Leeds Teaching Hospitals. I work as a Healer, teaching
relaxation and visualisation, to people suffering from cancer
and their relatives. I also work with the Chaplaincy service
to provide spiritual support.
I have been involved with a National Charity
for the support of the Divorced and Separated. I assist in
the provision of its National Telephone Help line service,
and have been it’s Diocesan Representative arranging
meetings etc for almost twenty years.
As you will gather from this, qualifying
as a Hypnotherapist (with Honours), with the World Federation
of Hypnotherapist and the British Association of Therapeutical
Hypnotists, is part of a whole picture of the skills, which
I bring to my practice in complementary medicine.
Hypnotherapy is beneficial for those with
psychosomatic illness, phobias, compulsions, or habits which
are destructive to your health and well-being.
Please contact me and we will work together
to alleviate them.
Marie.
