I currently hold the
certificate in Acupressure Massage achieved on 29/06/2002.
I am continuing my studies towards the Diploma and MSc in
Acupuncture at the York, Northern College of Acupuncture.
The Northern College of Acupuncture specialises
primarily in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is accredited
by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board, and the University
of Wales.
Acupressure Massage involves performing the
same diagnostic practices as Acupuncture (to discover what
health issues you have), but instead of using needles to stimulate
the internal energy flow; I massage the acupressure points
with fingers or thumbs. This is a very gentle form of treatment
and is excellent for fragile clients, or those nervous of
needles.
Prior to learning acupressure massage, I
worked for many years as a senior Registered General Nurse,
within the National Health Service, in the Yorkshire region.
I can focus now on treating you Holistically.
