I am an Emotional Health Therapist
which means I combine effective approaches and techniques
of complementary psychology with the intention of getting
you feeling better quickly whatever the emotional or behavioural
problem as brought you to this site.
We can all experience times of difficulty and stress in our
lives and it is a natural and normal response to such events
that strong emotions of anxiety, anger, depression or shame
can block our clear thinking and inhibit our natural resourcefulness.
We can afterwards find ourselves stuck in the past, constantly
reminded and drawn into the emotion of difficult times and
experiences. We may also find ourselves prone to unwanted
behaviours, habits, phobias, compulsions and addictions.
The past is to be learned from and not lived in, and indeed
what brings us to therapy is a desire to change our future
not to dig up our past. The holistic approach to psychology
sees these "problems" as a normal yet unintended
result of our mind-body systems evolved protective responses
and offers effective techniques to lay the past to rest and
re-orient ourselves to the future.
I studied organisational psychology for my masters degree
from which grew my interest in one to one therapy. Since 2000
I have trained in complementary psychology here in England
and in the US, gaining qualifications in psychotherapy, hypnotherapy
and meridian energy psychology. I love what I do and it gives
me wonderful satisfaction to see people emerging into clear
blue skies from the dark clouds of long held limitations.
You can make an appointment to
see me at my Skipton consulting room or at the oasis of calm
that is Ilkley Healing Centre.
Please do take a look at my website
www.TrancePennine.co.uk
and call me on 01756 790199. I'll be delighted to have a friendly
chat to advice how I can help or to answer your questions.
I also do telephone appointments
for certain conditions (such as agoraphobia) and have helped
many people this way. However I work with you, it is my intention
to enable you to get to where your want to go with the minimum
practical number of sessions.
