I have spent most of my life on the land, living and walking
in the Dales in my youth and farming a 420 acre hill farm
later. This closeness to Nature’s rhythms and seasons
permeated my very being and enables me to see these patterns
reflected in people.
I have long been fascinated by the Chinese Arts doing Kung
Fu, Tai Ji Chuan and Qi Gong to a high level. Practicing these
over the last 20 years builds and maintains my energy and
gives me increased sensitivity. I believe that my Qi should
connect with yours as this intensifies the healing process.
I later gained a Diploma in Chinese Studies
– one of very few people in Britain to achieve this.
This backs up my practical abilities with an understanding
of the Chinese mind and language.
So, when I left farming it was a natural
step into Acupuncture and later Chinese Herbs. I am fully
qualified (Dip Ac), well experienced and have been in full
time practice for 9 years. I am professionally registered
as a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, MBAcC.
As a practitioner I treat the whole person
and not just the disease or symptoms. Many problems are multi-layered
and full of contradictions. I enjoy the challenge of working
with these “knotty problems” and so I allow the
time each session to listen, to talk, to care, to reach the
root of your problems. Everyone is unique and different, challenging
and interesting, wonderful.
Whether you want to boost your energy and
enhance your vitality or break out of the cycle of stress
and tension, I am a skilled, caring and giving practitioner
and I look forward to helping you.
