How long before my page is live on the Internet?

Usually within 3 days. I will send you an email with confirmation and a receipt for your payment.

What if I want to change a few words?

No problem! If you want to change a few words, just email me explaining clearly what you want changed. No charge for editing changes throughout the year.

Can I post a photo to you?

Yes. I will then scan it and add it to your page. So please make sure your name and address is on the back and include an SAE if you want it returned.

How will the Directory pull in business for me?

Here at Yorkshire Health, we have had a lot of success with Directories by understanding how search engines work and how to use them successfully to generate business. The site is set up as a set of individual web pages and will use extensive cross linking to attract search engines - especially Google and Yahoo.

I've got a web site already, so what's the point?

You will know already how difficult it is to get a good ranking on the search engines. Then again, it's not much use getting visitors from USA or Australia. Our experience of working with Google MSN and Yahoo (who account for 85% of all searches) means that your web page will probably attract more business than your web site on its own. The best arrangement is to take a web page on the Directory and ask for a link back to your own web site. That usually works really well.

Can I have a page with no photo?

Yes. I will simply use a suitable icon or healthcare image to give the page a balanced look.

I'm already listed on other directories. Why choose this one?

It should work much better that other listings for several reasons. Most directories just give a few details in the form of a listing - like a yellow page entry, really. Here, each therapist has a separate web page, targetted at search engines. Think of it as your own 1-page web site, with visitors coming straight to your page. Some 90% of people now use search engines to find information.
